Amita Sharma, MBBS

Amita Sharma, MD, FACR, FRCR, is a board-certified Radiologist in the division of Thoracic Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. She received her medical degree from Kings College Hospital School of Medicine, University of London, UK. Dr. Sharma completed her radiology residency at the Royal London and St. Bartholomew’s Hospitals, London, and her fellowship in Thoracic Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. She currently also serves as the Medical Director of CT at MGH.

Dr. Sharma’s interests include Interstitial lung disease, thoracic clinical decision support tools, and thoracic intervention. She is the lead radiologist for Project ECHO for Interstitial Lung Disease, which aims to increase access to multidisciplinary ILD discussion in the community. Dr Sharma enjoys teaching and mentoring. She has given over 80 local, national, and international lectures and has published over 120 peer-reviewed publications, reviews, and chapters. She is an Associate Editor for Thoracic Imaging, The Requisites.
